I have completed another diamond painting kit from a new seller so its time for another review. I will get straight to the point. I love coffee. I saw this design and thought it would be perfect hanging in my kitchen above my coffee station. I had no idea how it would turn out because there was a fair amount of details with all the coffee beans.
Design wise, I think this diamond painting kit turned out great and will look amazing hanging up in my kitchen.
Seller: Hibah Hibah Store
Design: Coffee beans with love in the foam
Size: 30cm X 40cm
Drill Type: Round
Cost: $5.63 AUD (inc GST)
This kit was a bargain for the size. It was 30cm X 40cm and was only $5.63 including GST. However, what I received was pretty basic as well.
Shipping time was good. I ordered it on the 13/12/19 and they shipped it on the 17/12/09. I received it on the 03/01/20 so it took 22 days from ordering to receiving the kit.
I ordered 2 kits from Hibah Hibah and they came in just a plastic shipping bag. There was no external padding or protection at all. The canvas came wrapped around the drills with no other internal support.
The kit was pretty average at best. The canvas measured 31cm x 40cm with the pasting area being only 24cm x 34cm. Seems that this sellers kit sizes are based on the canvas size and NOT the pasting size. Dissapointing. The design came covered with a clear thin plastic cover that was all one piece. There was no creasing on the canvas or the glue. The kit didn’t come with an inventory sheet of what drills should be included or what DMC numbers they are. The drills were all just numbered 1 through to 18 and I had to hope that there was enough drills included. Included with the kit was the:
The kit included only 18 colours. There were plenty of round drills left over for every colour after it was completed. Surprisingly considering how cheap the kit was, there was very little trash drills found. Most of the discarded drills I had at the end were ones that had fallen off due to the poor canvas glue.
This was a horrible canvas to work with. The drills slid around everywhere and were constantly coming off. The glue seemed sticky but just didn’t hold onto the drills at all. I found I was constantly having to go back and replace missing drills that had fallen off. I will need to seal this ASAP.
The icons were OK but there were too many that were very similar to each other so would be difficult to tell apart without a light bad.
The design turned out ok but I would only recommend purchasing from the Hibah Hibah store if you are looking for a cheap kit. There are better sellers on Aliexpress that don’t cost much more that would be much better to work with.
